In-School Education

For more than 20 years, the Hort has provided in-school horticulture programs to New York City public and private schools. Our programs support students in K-12 grades and includes programs ranging from math to art, urban agriculture, nutrition, science, technology and engineering

Our programs and hands-on experiences have therapeutic benefits for students. Work in the gardens helps students relieve their stress and feel a sense of relaxation. When students see their plants grow, they feel proud of what they have created.

Our in-school programming is both academically enriching and engaging.
