Herbal Lotions and Potions for Young Wizards

July 19 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This class is for Harry Potter enthusiasts, ages 7 to 14, who wish Hogwarts was real! Wild plants have been used for thousands of years by herbalists for health and healing. This ancient wisdom is steeped in story, magic and folklore. Learn to make your own lotions and potions, as we step through the doorway into the plant kingdom and learn how to safely use herbs in food and medicine. Tastings of herbal honeys, jellos, teas, and recipes as well as a take home lip balm and tea blend made in class are included.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to class as we start right on time.

Special Note: The class is located in the greenhouse and classroom at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. You may register online or in person.

The Hort’s NYDigs program is supported by The Burpee Foundation.
