Art and AgriCulture
October 15 @ 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Make your own Florida Water
Join us for a free workshop where you’ll make your own Florida Water for protection. To start, we’ll share what brought each of us here, along with any experience you have with it. Then you’ll smell a sample and paint whatever comes up for you in watercolor.
Next, Rosanna will trace how a cologne became a sacred tool across many cultures. You’ll talk through common herbs and what they’re used for spiritually. After journaling your intention, you’ll pick a blend and mix a batch to take home, along with a zine.
This event is part of Art and AgriCulture. Explore your relationship to food and agriculture, and the histories, stories, and traditions that shape the ways we grow, prepare, and share food.
FACILITATOR
Rosanna is an Afro-Caribbean herbalist, public artist, and urban planner passionate about creating accessible ways to connect with ancestry, nurture personal gifts, and be better stewards of their communities.
ACCESSIBILITY
The kitchen/classroom is wheelchair accessible; with advance notice we can add a mat path across the greenhouse’s pebbled ground (garden entrance has a small raised threshold; garden paths are grass).
Tables adjust height; backless benches/stools available.
Kitchen is shared—we avoid peanuts but can’t guarantee a nut-free space; water provided in refillable pitchers.
First aid on-site; nearest AED is one building away.
Nearest restrooms are ~1 min walk; a gender-neutral restroom is available by key from staff.
Not a scent-free space (essential oils used in class), though we ventilate and welcome masking/distancing.
All Greenhouse Education Center events happen rain or shine.
