Spanning across the Greenhouse Education Center’s garden, greenhouse, and kitchen, families are invited to learn the art of gardening, herbalism, and kitchen-skills to support healthy and happy bodies, minds, and hearts. Each week families will be welcomed into this drop-in program to craft their own home remedies, meals, and garden-inspired artworks. Each week, participants will be guided by a guest chef, food worker, and those creating change within our foodways who will center each class around the rhythms of rest and dormancy.We'll center ourselves around collectively-crafted meal, cooking with and following the origin stories of various root vegetables, cold-storage crops, and preserved herbs--gathered together around the table.
