Engaging Communities

We connect people to plants through learning, wellness, and paid work in schools, housing, and public spaces. We bring plant-based experiences into daily life so that people can benefit from plants where they are.

We bring plant-based activities and practical instruction into schools, housing, community settings, and public spaces across New York City. This includes places with limited or no garden infrastructure, where we use herbs, cuttings, container plantings, and other hands-on materials to make plant care and learning a reality on-site.

In schools, we use plants to support NYC Public Schools standards-aligned learning, curiosity, and climate and nutrition education. In housing and care settings, we use horticulture to support wellbeing and social connections. Through paid training and jobs, we prepare New Yorkers for roles that care for and maintain green public spaces.

This work is designed to fit real schedules, staffing, and space constraints. It is built for repeat visits and ongoing participation, so people can build confidence and skills.
